Failed to pass both houses, will not become law this session
This resolution would pose the following advisory question to voters on the April 2024 ballot:
“Shall Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion law be repealed and the constitutional rights guaranteed under Roe v. Wade be restored?”
In an advisory referendum, the legislature places a proposal on the ballot to gauge voters’ opinions. The results of an advisory referendum are not binding, meaning the results will not change the law.
