This bill would create a robust anti-SLAPP law allowing a person being sued in a SLAPP suit to file a motion to strike the lawsuit if it arises from their constitutional right of petition or free speech in connection with a public issue.

This bill prohibits law enforcement from circumventing Fourth Amendment warrant requirements – including its probable cause, individualized suspicion, and judicial oversight standards – by purchasing an individual’s private, personal data from data brokers and other data collectors.

The bill essentially punishes unhoused people for existing outside approved facilities and gives the state broad authority to control where people may live, rather than providing adequate housing solutions.

This bill would require schools to notify all parents of every student in the class each time a student is removed from the classroom and explain how the removed student diminished the quality or quantity of instructional time provided to the class.

This bill would make it easier for teachers to take students out of classrooms if the teacher says the student’s behavior is disruptive, creating new avenues for excluding students with disabilities by creating new powers to eject a student from the classroom.

This bill would require Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services to ask the federal government for permission to start a pilot program that gives people in jail or prison access to certain health care before they’re released.

This bill seeks to treat hemp-derived cannabinoid products as regulated intoxicants rather than unregulated consumer goods.

The bill creates a clear legal right for people to obtain and use FDA-approved contraceptives and for health-care providers to give contraceptives, contraception services, and contraception-related information.

This proposed constitutional amendment would guarantee that the state and local governments must treat everyone equally under the law.
