The ACLU is tracking 500+ anti-LGBTQ bills across the country. Trans youth are being subjected to ugly rhetoric, misguided policies, and other dangerous actions in a nationwide attack on transgender rights and lives, and Wisconsin is no exception. Trans people belong everywhere, including in our state and we will not stand for hateful bills like the gender-affirming care ban, trans athlete bans, and classroom censorship bill defeated last session.
We believe every Wisconsinite deserves to live openly without discrimination. That's why we'll use every tool at our disposal to defend LGBTQ+ rights in our state.
Ten years ago, we won marriage equality in Wisconsin. We've protected the right of trans and gender nonconforming students to be treated with respect at school. We lobby for equal rights, personal autonomy, and freedom of expression for all.
