This bill would allow DACA recipients to obtain professional licenses that they are currently barred from by law.
DACA-eligible Wisconsinites pay $48 million in local, state, and federal taxes and recipients would receive a $250 income tax credit under this bill.
We are one of only five states in the country that specifically prohibits undocumented immigrants from receiving in-state college tuition and financial aid.
Excessive fees for open records including police body camera footage could deter requests and weaken transparency.
This bill would criminalize non-approved encampments as a Class C misdemeanor with a $500 fine and up to 30 days in jail.
While intended to protect minors, this bill exposes adult Wisconsinites to harmful surveillance and violates the First Amendment by requiring ID to visit websites.
