This bill would make changes to the statutory rights of victims to participate in a hearing before the Parole Board, add a requirement for an incarcerated person to undergo a psychological evaluation before they would be eligible for release on parole, and allow local law enforcement to alert the public when an individual is released on parole.

Ultimately, this bill would add significant barriers to individuals seeking parole and divert an extraordinary amount of mental health resources and personnel costs away from incarcerated individuals in desperate need of mental health care   towards completion of unnecessary psychological evaluations.
