At the ACLU of Wisconsin, we care deeply about the well-being of students throughout Wisconsin and want to ensure that their rights are protected.

Free speech means protecting protest rights, a free press, diversity of thought, freedom of religion, and much more. The ACLU of Wisconsin is always on guard to ensure that the First Amendment’s protections remain robust — for everyone.

While we’ve seen a surge of extreme anti-immigrant policies and rhetoric, the fundamental constitutional protections of due process and equal protection embodied in our Constitution and Bill of Rights apply to every person, regardless of immigration status. And we will fight to protect those rights.

The ACLU of Wisconsin seeks to uplift Indigenous people, communities, and tribes through community-focused and integrated legal and advocacy work. We aim to support tribal communities – and follow their lead – as they work to uphold their sovereignty, dignity, and autonomy.

All people deserve to live openly without discrimination and enjoy equal rights, bodily autonomy, and access to the health care they need. We continue to protect and defend Wisconsinites’ rights to love who they love, be who they are, and control their own bodies.
