The eleventh annual event was held at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee campus and is a day-long event which offers high school students a unique and hands-on approach to learning about the functions of government, social justice, civil liberties. It also teaches youth how individuals can create effective grassroots change through leadership development and community organizing. The event introduces young people to the necessary skills to build and maintain ongoing community connections, obtain resources for programs and opportunities offered by collaborators, and the chance to experience learning in a university setting.
